Hello
Welcome to our studio! We are passionate about creating a positive, inspiring environment where dancers can grow not only in technique, but also in confidence, and artistry. Our goal is to provide high-quality dance education while fostering a supportive community that feels like family. Whether students dance for fun, or competition, we believe every dancer deserves encouragement, opportunity, and a place to display their passion.
Our Story
My love of dance began at five years old, dancing with my mom in our living room, to the music on the TV. By six years old, I was officially taking lessons.
In February of 1976, Debbie's School of Dance was born operating out of my mother's house, starting with just five students. Our home was located in the Quarryville Borough and the school bus would actually have a bus stop for the studio in which the students would walk up to their classes.
Soon, we transformed my parents’ basement into a full studio, allowing the ability to add jazz and tap classes.
At 16, I taught my first summer classes and realized teaching was my passion, even more than performing.
After building my own home in 1981, we moved the studio to its current location on Drywells Road. With more space, I added tumbling, and by 1993, we expanded again, adding a brand-new addition to the garage, making Debbie's School of Dance what it is today.
We now offer multiple styles of dance, along with a competitive program consisting of 4 competition teams. We have a staff of 7 and after celebrating 50 years in business, I am officially retired; passing the business on to my daughter Tiffany. I know her leadership, expertise, and education will take this studio far than what I ever imagined possible.
